About the Artist
After studying A-Level Art at college, I continued to develop my passion for painting, using it as a form of meditation and self-expression. When starting a new piece, I often begin by experimenting with textures and colour combinations. Sometimes I am drawn to bold contrasts and vibrant colours that demand attention; other times I focus on a single colour, exploring its many tones and subtleties. Once a colour palette begins to emerge, the direction of the painting naturally comes into focus.
I have always painted or had some form of creative project underway. Creativity has long been a source of therapy for me, bringing happiness, balance, and a sense of calm to everyday life. I paint in my spare time when I am not working or spending time with my family, painting is the one activity that truly reconnects me with my roots. I hope the tranquillity and enjoyment I experience whilst creating are reflected in my work, and if my paintings can bring warmth, positivity, and a sense of calm to a room, then I feel I have achieved my goal.
